A day for the books, the day I climbed Mount St. Helens in 2017. This was captured during sunrise about 3/4 way up the mountain with Mount Adams glowing in the distance, and the ridges of the once mighty Helens curling down into the Gifford Pinchot National Forest.
Really happy we started so early as most of the climb was in the dark, and it wasn’t until the way down we could take in how intimidating the boulder fields were so it probably helped our overall attitude about the climb. Most people we passed on the way down weren’t so lucky…
